Timberlands men's boots founder is Nathan Swartz, began the shoe making career in Boston, Massachusetts. IN 1952 Swartz bought half an interest in The Abington Show company in Boston, mainly doing contract work for other manufacturers. Then in 1955 he bought the remaining interest and brought his sons into the company.
Later on, the Swartz family introduced the then innovative injection moulding technology into the footwear industry. The enabled production of virtually waterproof boots by connecting the soles to the leather uppers without stitching.
The brand Timberland was introduced for the waterproof leather boots produced by the company. Because the boot proved so popular the company changed its name.
Timberlands men's boots, then in 1978 added casual and boat shoes to their production line. For this reason we now have great quantities of unique designed and aesthetically pleasing men’s timberland boots from casual wear to waterproof hiking boots.
